I havent taken the time recently to update our blog, but here is a cute conversation with Gabriel ...
While Gabriel was taking a bath tonight, he laid down in the tub and said, "Look Mommy I can stretch from end to end", and he did reach; his head on one end with his feet firmly reaching the other end.
Me: "When did you get so big? When we first moved into this house, you were far from reaching both ends of the tub, you used to float around freely, now you barely fit. Stop growing so fast!"
Gabriel: " Don't worry Mommy, I'll stay with you even when I'm big. I'll always be with you. Even when I am a teenager and a grownup I'll never leave you."
Me: "Even when you're a teenager, you'll still like me?"
Gabriel: "Of course Mommy, you're my mommy, I'll always like you and love you. I'm never leaving you, even when you are old I'll always be with you. I'm going to marry you when I grow up so we can always be together."
By the end of the conversation he was out of the tub and before I could get his towel around him, I got a great big wet hug, one that I'll treasure and think back to when he is a teenager and has forgotten that he said he would always like me...
